Scope
This document provides guidance on how to map to the ‘New EPSLab Drive’ for macOS devices.
Notes
You will need to be connected to the Campus network for the drive mapping to work.
Procedure
CONNECT TO THE NEW EPSLab DRIVE:
- Open Finder
- Click on Go on then select ‘Connect to Server’ and enter smb://svm-files.ad.wisc.edu/EPSLab in the ‘Connect to Server’ window then click ‘Connect’
- If prompted to enter credentials please enter your UW Campus NetID and your UW Campus NetID password and click ‘Connect’
- The new L drive will now be connected
*****FOLLOW THE PROCEEDING STEPS IF YOU NEED ACCESS TO DATA THAT HASN’T BEEN MIGRATED*****
CONNECT TO THE OLD W DRIVE:
- Open Finder
- Click on Go then select ‘Connect to Server’ and enter smb://vetmed_username:*@users.vetmed.wisc.edu/files in the ‘Connect to Server’ window then click ‘Connect’
***Do not replace vetmed_username during this step*** - Replace ‘vetmed_username’ with your VETMED username and enter your VETMED password then click ‘Connect’
- The old W drive will now be connected
